PROFILE
History
I began dancing at a young age at Audrey Spencer's School of Dance, training in Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz and Musical Theatre. I competed in national competitions, as well as completing Primary and Grade 2 in Ballet. I was later introduced to Contemporary Dance at A level , gaining knowledge of Laban Notation, techniques such as Graham and Cunningham, the choreographic process and analysis and had the opportunity to perform in various platforms. I continued my study in contemporary dance at University and gained a First Class Degree, as well as the 'Performance Award in Dance (2012)'. At University I also expanded my teaching experience, working with dancers and non-dancers from the age of 4+ with varying abilities, in classes and workshops. These focused on notions such as technique, creative engagement, choreography and improvisation. I am also passionate about fitness and body conditioning, and often incorporate this into my classes. I am currently undergoing a IDTA teaching qualification in Modern Jazz. Finally I have an up to date enhanced CRB and public liability insurance.
